Pre-Kindergarten Homework:

Week of November 17th, 2008

Letters and Numbers:

Continue to review the letters A-H and numbers 1-8. Begin the letter I and number 9. Homework is focused on math due to the results of my early informal assessment and also the Letter I and Number 9.

Handwriting this week is on their name, number 8,9 and letters H and I. Handwriting Book pgs 46 and 47.

We are rehearsing our play The Nativity and our songs Silent Night and Jingle Bells. (this week the children will make their bells)

Other:

In Math, we are learning to count from one to eight. We are also reviewing numbers 1-8 matching number with number of objects.  We will be working on some pages in our math book that reinforce recognition of the numbers 6-8. Pages 57 and 58.

In Religion, we will continue to work on the prayers: Sign of the Cross, Our Meal Prayer and the Our Father.  We will continue our Adam and Eve booklet. We are reviewing all the bible stories we have talked about to date. We will also be working in our Seeds Booklet on God's Temple and everyone's talents.

In History, we are talking about the First Thanksgiving, the Native Americans and the Pilgrims.
