IMMEDIATE PANTRY NEEDS
With children home from school, the pantry is running very low on items
like peanut butter, jelly, juice and juice drinks, tea, canned meats,
canned fruit, cereal, snacks, pasta and pasta sauce. When you are doing
your weekly shopping, we would truly appreciate your picking up one of
these items for the pantry. You might want to check out the CVS weekly
sale flier. They often have great sales on food products. Thank you so
much for your continued support.

With summer here, we would like to stockpile enough pantry supplies to
carry us over the lean months when folks are on vacation and school is not
in session. Though the contributions decrease in the summer months, the
need does not. We continue to need all kinds of food, cleaning and
personal items.
During the month of May we had forty plus visits to the pantry by needy
families. We continue to register new families every week and many of the
adults are out of work at this time. We truly are grateful for your
continued support and generosity.
CLOTHING ROOM
The Clothing Room is located in the parish school, behind the stage area.
It will be open the fourth Saturday, of each month, from 9:00am – 10:30am,
to help those in need in our parish and local community. The date for the
clothing room is: July 24th
Shoebox Gifts: We are continuing to collect toiletries for the Christmas
gifts for the homeless. We are in need of socks, shaving cream and razors.
As always, however, we are happy to accept any type of toiletry donations. Thanks for your generosity.
HELP NEEDED IN THE FOOD PANTRY
Help Is Needed in the food pantry as a substitute, especially during the
summer months, when our regular workers are on vacation. The hours are
8:45-10:00 am on Saturday mornings. Since our number of needy families has
increased so much, we like to have three volunteers in the pantry every
week. If you are interested in helping as a substitute or a regular
volunteer, please contact Joan Sheehan at 301-937-7112 or stop in at the
pantry on a Saturday morning.
